Urinary incontinence and Faecal incontinence
Urinary Incontinence - Diagnosis, Procedures and Coding
This course covers the fundamentals of urinary incontinence, beginning with the anatomy and physiology of the bladder. Learners will explore the main types of urinary incontinence - including stress, urge and mixed incontinence. The course then moves on to common treatments and surgical interventions, guiding you through selecting the correct diagnosis and procedure codes for the different presentations and interventions covered.
Faecal Incontinence - Diagnosis, Procedures and Coding
This course provides an overview of faecal incontinence, starting with the anatomy and physiology of the rectum and anus. It outlines the different types of faecal incontinence, including overflow incontinence, which is often linked to constipation or impaction. Learners will then be guided through how to correctly assign diagnosis and procedure codes for the various types and treatments of faecal incontinence.
Both courses are designed to build clinical understanding alongside coding accuracy, helping you understand the conditions behind the codes they assign.
